What do you do after a year of mostly not buying new stuff?

BioI'm writing about life after The Compact. In 2007, I participated in The Compact, a loosely organized group dedicated to not purchasing new items for a calendar year. People do it for many reasons: environmental, economical, simplicity, anti-consumerism, decluttering. My reasons were all of the above.
Now that my year is over, I find myself mostly sticking to my non-new purchase habits, but I still have a lot of stuff I don't need and a life that could use some more simplification and focus. I'm using this blog to sort the old, and to make room for the new.
